scared

Jake and I watched Hoarders last night for the first time.  I looked around our house: a sewing project underway, loads of laundry waiting to be folded, junk mail piling up in the kitchen...I almost started crying.  I got up at 5 a.m. this morning--you're not going to catch me on cable TV, by golly.  Sewing project: done.  Laundry, here I come.

Know what you mean - I saw a show like that and they mentioned "clutter blindness" where you don't see the mess anymore. I looked at the pile of junk at the bottom of the stairs that all seven of us had been stepping over for two days and sighed. :-)

Now I focus and cleaning up the floor, all the clutter on the shelved and counters counts as "cleaned up" . . . right?

That show is better than meth to get me moving. I can never watch a full episode before I am at least doing the dishes. Although, the idea of you being anywhere near that level is hilarious. Heck, the idea of you being anywhere near MY level is hilarious.

The fear subsides, don't worry. I cleaned out six closets the day after I watched my first episode. Now things are back to normal. Not Hoarders,, but certainly nothing to be proud of.

you can never come here, Charlotte.

p.s. I've enjoyed all your posts but I can't comment because they make it so blinking difficult to do so. xxx
