Damon told me today, "Mom, you don't look that much like a girl. You look kind of like a girl and kind of like a boy."
Me: "Oh...that's too bad. What do you mean?"
Damon: "I don't know. It's like worms. Worms aren't boys or girls. You look like that."

What a clever, funny boy! At least you can be proud of his mind, if not his tact. Good thing he's cute too. That always covers a lot.

I can empathize - I spent my high school years with short hair, T-shirts, and jeans. I finally bought some earrings when I went to college.
Oh Charlotte, that is so funny! Just so you know, I've never considered you a worm. I think you look like a very beautiful girl. (I guess I could say woman but all the people I like best are girls to me).
I hope Damons comment made you laugh a lot thinking about it and that you didn't do anything drastic to look less of a worm.
I love the crazy things you post about what your kids have to say. As I remember you always approached things from a different angle so they must get it from you, but what a great quality. And I agree with Jamie - you have always been quite adorable.
